In this chapter we discuss important aspects of the medical education podcast structure. Topics range from optimal episode lengths, monologuing versus use of dialogue, to staging of panel discussions. It underscores the importance of aligning content with audience needs and motivations and introduces quality metrics medical podcasters can use to ensure educational value and credibility. The hope is to encourage thoughtful podcast design and evaluation, especially as podcasts gain recognition in academic settings.
