The construction industry plays a significant role in shaping the built environment, yet it is also one of the largest contributors to environmental degradation and resource depletion. In response to the growing concerns about sustainability, there has been a pressing need to integrate sustainability principles into construction practices. Sustainability in construction encompasses various aspects, including environmental protection, social responsibility, and economic viability. Quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) are essential components of ensuring that construction projects meet specified standards and requirements. Improving quality management throughout a project will fortify its entirety, thereby contributing to the overall success and sustainability of construction endeavors. Quality construction methodologies directly influence the lasting power and resilience of completed projects. By getting it right from the outset, the need for frequent maintenance and repairs diminishes, saving valuable time, finances, and resources over the structure's lifespan. By elevating construction quality management, constructors can ensure their projects meet or surpass these regulatory benchmarks. Embracing this approach mitigates the risk of fines, penalties, and legal entanglements while bolstering the company's reputation and credibility among clients, stakeholders, and regulatory entities. This paper examines sustainability and QA/QC in construction, exploring how the integration of sustainable practices could enhance quality control processes and ensure the delivery of environmentally responsible and resilient infrastructure.
