Group Voice Training as a Form of Building Individual and Team Well-Being

The main objective of this chapter is to outline the importance of both holistic and innovative approaches in building an organizational culture that improves human well-being. Due to their research focus and field knowledge, the authors will concentrate on one specific aspect of that multidisciplinary approach to organizational well-being, which is voice and breathing quality that one can achieve through singing workshops. In this chapter, describe the importance and benefits of vocal training, particularly when it is practiced with other people. The authors discuss the specific positive impact of voice training on well-being based on a literature review and the results of the qualitative and quantitative research conducted at SGH Warsaw School of Economics in the spring semester of 2025. Moreover, the authors’ individual observations are presented, on the one hand, as the conductor and, on the other hand, as a participant in the training. In conclusion, the authors will outline the main recommendations concerning the organization of group vocal training to make the best of it for the participants’ well-being.
