Leveraging AI-Driven E-Commerce Platforms to Advance Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment in Underserved Communities
摘要
The new systems of global e-commerce have benefited from the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), which has emerged new forms of inclusive entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. This study examines the impact of AI e-commerce platforms on marginalised communities and how these communities are able to lower barriers to market entry, enlarge market access, and improve the abilities of micro and small business owners. This is done through the structured literature review and a survey of 210 entrepreneurs, inclusive of women, youth, and small business owners in the retail, agriculture, and service sectors. According to the findings, artificial intelligence (AI) applications that improve consumer interaction, brand awareness and performance include chatbots, revenue forecasting, tailored suggestions, and fraud detection. AI-enabled marketplaces that enable home-based business operations and reach a larger audience are especially beneficial to women entrepreneurs. Agricultural entrepreneurs use AI-assisted platform to improve pricing, reduce reliance on middlemen, and generate more stable revenue. Implementation is uneven in spite of these benefits. Equal access to AI features is hampered by obstacles like low digital literacy, weak infrastructure and affordability concerns. The need for ethical design and accountability in platform algorithms emphasized by worries about algorithmic bias and transparency. This study concludes that although AI-driven e-commerce is not a total solution, it acts as a potent enabler of fair growth when combined with human capacity-building, transparent practices, and supportive policies. By adoption inclusive framework and ensuring fair algorithmic practices, AI can empower entrepreneurs in underserved communities and foster sustainable economic development.
