This article presents ethical considerations in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Moroccan government recruitment. The deployment of AI in this context raises significant issues. We survey these challenges, including algorithmic bias, lack of transparency, privacy of information, fairness, responsibility, and potential for augmenting existing inequalities. We cite recent work and statistics to describe Morocco’s distinctive case, marked by its accelerating use of AI in various sectors and the government’s effort to digitize employment. The primary objective of this study is to explain the main ethical issues mentioned and suggest ways to utilize AI responsibly in the recruitment sector, making sure that efficiency does not come at the cost of fairness and merit, which is important because Morocco is working to modernize governance services and use more AI-based solutions as part of its digital development.
