Integrated Approaches to Water, Energy, and Sustainable Development in Morocco: A Synthesis
摘要
Population growth and technological progress have increased demand for natural resources, including water, energy, minerals, and food, as well as other necessities that are in constant demand. In response to these rising demands and the need to meet human needs, environmental quality on land and in the oceans has declined, and resource reserves have decreased. Industries such as oil and gas, agriculture, tourism, and fisheries have positively contributed to social and economic development. However, their sustainability is uncertain, as it primarily depends on the availability of natural resources and the state of the environment.
