Entrepreneurial Education in Teacher Education: A Proposed Vision for an Entrepreneurship and Innovation-Stimulating Learning Environment from the Perspective of the Higher Diploma Program
摘要
This study aimed to develop a proposed vision for a learning environment that encourages entrepreneurship and innovation in teacher preparation programs. It was carried out by surveying the opinions of students enrolled in the pre-service diploma program for teacher preparation at Mutah University. Moreover, it applied a descriptive-analytical approach, and a questionnaire was developed consisting of four main areas: incorporating entrepreneurial education concepts, the components of a learning environment that encourages entrepreneurship, the challenges facing the inclusion of entrepreneurship concepts, and the proposed vision from the students’ perspective. It was distributed electronically to a purposive sample of (68) students. The results showed that the level of inclusion of entrepreneurship concepts in the program was high. Significantly, the sample members had a positive perception of an educational environment that encourages entrepreneurship. However, they indicated the existence of actual challenges related to a lack of institutional support, time constraints, and the poor qualification of some staff. They expressed a clear vision of an ideal learning environment that includes flexibility, experimentation, digital support, and specialized guidance. The study recommended systematically integrate entrepreneurship concepts into all components of the teacher preparation program.
