Colleges Leaderships’ Awareness of AI Tools for Managing Educational Institutions and the Factors Influencing Their Use

This study aims to investigate colleges leaderships’ awareness levels of AI tools for managing educational institutions and the factors influencing their use. The participants consist of 28 colleges’ leaderships at the University of Anbar, Iraq. A questionnaire and a semi-structured interview were used to collect the data. The validity and reliability of the instruments were verified. The results revealed that the leadership level of awareness of AI tools for managing educational institutions is low and the majority is not aware of the role and the significance of the AI tools, and the Deputy Dean of Administration & Finance Affairs being the most aware of AI tools compared to other college leadership. Furthermore, the results revealed that the factors that influenced college leaderships’ perceptions of the use of AI tools for managing educational institutions were found to be Attitude, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Self-Efficacy. It is concluded that the Iraqi university professors’ level of awareness of the AI tools for managing educational institutions is below the average and they need training sessions and seminars to be aware of these tools due to the significant and positive facilities that these tools provide in managing and administrating the institute.
