The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Consumer Behaviour: Addressing Ethical Concerns in Third World Countries
摘要
The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers transformative potential for developing countries, particularly in enhancing public services and driving economic growth. However, it also presents significant ethical and structural challenges, including concerns over data privacy, algorithmic bias, and widening socio-economic disparities. These challenges are exacerbated by weak regulatory frameworks and unequal access to AI technologies. This opinion paper examines the ethical implications of AI deployment in developing countries, with a focus on transparency, consumer protection, and responsible use across sectors such as marketing. It argues that effective ethical guidelines, stronger public investment in education, and inclusive policy frameworks are essential to ensure AI contributes positively to the digital economy in emerging markets.
