The aim of the current study is to conduct a bibliometric review of financial inclusion research. The main focus of this study is to explore the intellectual structure, key contributors (such as institutions and countries), and thematic evolution in this field. A set of 1274 research papers was retrieved, covering the period 2006–2025. These papers are limited to journals indexed in Scopus and classified in the ABDC Journal Quality List. This study applies performance indicators and science mapping techniques through biblioMagika®, a VOSviewer and Biblioshiny. The result showed a notable growth in publication output after 2010, with contributions from India, the United States, and the United Kingdom, alongside emerging participation from developing economies. Influential authors, institutions, and journals were highlighted, while keyword co-occurrence revealed four dominant clusters: financial access and development, digital finance and fintech, financial literacy, and inclusive growth. The findings highlight the increasing interdisciplinarity of the field, its linkages with sustainable development goals, and the transformative role of fintech innovations in bridging access gaps. By consolidating two decades of re-search, this review not only provides a comprehensive overview but also outlines pressing research gaps and directions for future inquiry.

摘要
