Seismic Performance of Large Annular Steel Silo in Jingdezhen City

In response to the vibrationVibration caused by earthquakes of large annular steel siloSilo, steel for fly ash in Jingdezhen City, the seismic performanceSeismic performance of the siloSilo is analyzed with response spectrum and time history analyses. The siloSilo is constructed from a wall and a roof, with many annular and vertical stiffeners, and a mechanical model of the siloSilo is established. The seismic influence coefficient is calculated according to the site characteristics of Jingdezhen City, so that a response spectrum curve is generated. Then the EI-Centro wave was selected for time history analysis. The response spectrum and time history analyses of the siloSilo are simulated through ANSYS. Based on the simulation results, it is confirmed that the centre of the roof is maximum deformation area, and stress concentration areas are the bottom of wall, the connection between wall and roof, and the centre of roof.
