The article deals with refinery material balance models for data reconciliation. The large-scale models and data reconciling solvers require careful verification and development of new testing methods. The optimal planning model is proposed to test data reconciliation management system. A global test is used to evaluate the correctness of the data reconciliation solution. The proposed testing method allows verifying and correcting the material balance model before the system implementation.
