The Quest for Conscious, Aligned, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)
摘要
This chapter traces the historical and philosophical trajectory of artificial intelligence from ancient automata to today’s frontier models, situating the rise of artificial general intelligence (AGI) within the broader arc of human and cosmic evolution. It explores how each industrial and informational revolution has accelerated intelligence and complexity, culminating in deep learning and transformer-based architectures such as ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, and Gemini. The chapter argues that AGI alignment, i.e., the challenge of ensuring intelligent systems act ethically and in harmony with human values, demands understanding intelligence as both computational and contextual. Through the N-Frame framework, it links the evolution of computation to the quantum and thermodynamic nature of the observer, suggesting that true alignment requires systems capable of meaning and empathy, not mere computational optimization. The discussion bridges physics, philosophy, and cognitive science, framing AGI as a pivotal moment in the universe’s self-reflective evolution.
