The Impact of Integrated Reports on the Market Value of Industrial Companies Listed on the Amman Stock Exchange
摘要
This article investigates the impact of integrated reporting (IR) on the market value of the listed industrial companies on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) for the period 2018–2023. The impact of the level of disclosure in IR on the market value is assessed by using Tobin’s Q and price-to-earnings ratio as the key performance indicators. This has been carried out using the descriptive-analytical method of content analysis, in an application of the 35-element composite index, covering seven dimensions: organizational overview, governance, business model, risks, strategy, performance, and outlook. Statistical analysis is processed using STATA 16MP with panel data models, fixed effects, and robust standard errors. These will show a highly positive result about the influence IR has on market value, underpinning its role in increasing investor confidence and strategic positioning. This study provides theoretical and practical frameworks for understanding the influence of IR in emerging markets with a particular focus on Jordan. Key recommendations include adopting IR practices in integrating financial and non-financial data to improve transparency. This therefore adds to the scarce literature on the relevance of IR in developing economies and provides lessons for policymakers, practitioners, and academics.
