Analyzing the Role of Building Architecture in Shaping Urban Ecology
摘要
Urban environment, being a material environment created as a result of human development, in the modern world is improving and acquiring a diverse and complex typology. The number of large cities and megacities with densely built-up territory and high-rise architecture is growing. The population of cities is growing, which increases the anthropogenic load on the environment. The intensity of traffic flows is increasing, and the city infrastructure is developing. All these circumstances contribute to the formation of unfavorable environment in cities. The active functioning of the city contributes to the increase of energy consumption and intensive emissions of pollutants into the air. Furthermore, the expansion of contemporary buildings and structures, which increases their density and inhibits natural air exchange, adds to the buildup of pollutants in the urban environment. On the one hand, urban planning factors solve the issues of territorial planning, on the other hand, they worsen the ecological balance of urban areas.
