Numerical and Experimental Study of a Rotating Disk Placed in an Air Stream and Heated by a Laser
摘要
The objective of this study is to develop a comprehensive numerical model for simulating conjugate heat transfer. The system under investigation comprises a rotating disk that is heated by a laser, which is placed in an air stream. The interaction between solids and the fluid is of particular importance when simulating such problems. In this model, the convective heat flux can be calculated based on the air flow and temperature levels of the disk and the surrounding air. This configuration allows for the observation of the effects of forced convection on a heated solid. Firstly, the numerical model and the various results that can be obtained are presented. Subsequently, a comparison between the numerical model results and experimental findings is conducted. Temperature measurements on the disk surface are performed using an infrared camera.
