The main task in the MAC layer of communication networks is to schedule the data traffics. Due to the existence of interference, the scheduler will try to avoid transmission collisions across close nodes, subject to the demands of transmission from different nodes. Scheduling algorithms for communication networks have been intensively studied in the last three decades. However, scheduling for radar sensing has not been well studied, needless to say the integration of communications and sensing. Hence, much effort is needed to study the scheduling of ISAC signals.
