The objective of this chapter is to give readers a look at the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment in several companies. This will help those involved in a company’s PLM Initiative both to see how other companies are looking at PLM and to compare their situation with others. In turn, this will help them participate more fully in the activities of their initiative. This chapter also aims to give students taking a PLM course a feeling of how PLM appears from within a company.
