The Air Pollution Assessment of Waste Incineration Power Plant—A Case Study in Chongqing, China
摘要
This study assesses the atmospheric impact of a waste incineration power plant in Chongqing, China, using the AERSCREEN modelAERSCREEN model. Emission data from March–September 2024 were analyzed to simulate dispersion of SO2, NOx, TSP, CO, and HCl at three nearby receptor points. Results showed average proportion concentrations (P) of all pollutants were below 100% of China’s environmental quality standards (GB 3095-2012), confirming regulatory compliance. Chronic health risksHealth risks, evaluated via the U.S. EPA’s hazard indexHazard index (HI), yielded values (HI < 1) significantly below the threshold, indicating negligible long-term impacts on residents. The framework provides a replicable approach for environmental assessments of similar facilities in densely populated regions.
