Preliminary Campaign of Bragg Edge Neutron Imaging Round Robin
摘要
This paper reports a preliminary campaign in preparation of a Bragg edge neutron imaging round robin. A series of measurements using a standard sample has been carried out at different facilities with Bragg edge imaging capabilities, with the aim of inter-laboratory comparison. The standard was also characterised at neutron diffraction beamlines to benchmark imaging results. Lessons learned from this campaign highlighted the importance of including instrument parameters in the data analysis to obtain accurate results. The need of careful interpretation of Bragg edge strain mapping result was highlighted by comparison with results of neutron diffraction experiments. Other practical lessons from the campaign are discussed to be taken into account for the future round robin activities.
