While the portrayals in these series are by no means comprehensive or flawless, this chapter demonstrates how the empathetic depictions offer an opportunity for a wide audience to develop understanding and compassion for the struggles and obstacles that gender diverse youth face—a crucial first step in rectifying epistemic injustice.
