There are three fundamental problems related to rumor, rumor discovery, rumor source detection, and rumor blocking. How to discover a rumor, i.e., how to know whether a news is rumor or not. A popular way is to see whether the news comes from a reliable source or not. This means that the rumor discovery is actually reduced to the source detection. Therefore, essentially, rumor discovery and rumor source detection are overlapping seriously.
