Digital Supply Chain for Rice Sustainability
摘要
Being an archipelagic nation, Indonesia encounters the challenge of lacking an information system for real-time monitoring and tracking of rice supplies by farmers, the government, or other stakeholders. Establishing such a system is essential for ensuring steady rice supplies, mitigating distribution uncertainty, and enhancing supply chain efficiency. This study intends to develop a digital supply chain system to assist farmers and the government in monitoring rice supplies in Indonesia. This system aims to provide all stakeholders with precise data on rice production, distribution, and availability, hence facilitating more accurate decision-making. The methodology utilized in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study research strategy. Data were gathered via comprehensive interviews and the examination of relevant records to comprehend the challenges encountered in the rice supply chain. The study's conclusions offer insights into the primary challenges of implementing a digital system and essential considerations, and also recommend an information system model for improving visibility and traceability in Indonesia's rice supply chain.
