Research on Climate-Responsive Spatial Design Strategies for Rural Residences in the Loess Plateau Area of West Henan Province
摘要
The loess plateau area in western Henan is located in the transition zone from the second to the third terrace in China, where the Heluo and Yangshao cultures originated. This paper focuses on climate-responsive space, takes “space-perception” as the entry point, investigates the specific feelings of residents in western Henan on the indoor physical environment in winter and summer seasons in each functional space, and makes the actual measurement, and obtains the temperature range of hot and cold comfort of the main body in the residential space with different functions; and uses EnergyPlus and PMV thermal comfort calculation tools for all kinds of space elements simulation, quantitative analysis of the influence of different space layout mode on indoor comfort, clear residential space climate efficiency, put forward specific climate response space design strategy, such as: cross ventilation is more comfortable than other forms of ventilation in summer, it is preferable to live in rooms with less exposed area of external walls in winter, and the centralized layout can take into account the comfort in both winter and summer, etc. These strategies can not only improve the climate adaptability of rural houses, but also provide a reference for architectural design under similar climatic condition.
