Non-traditional rural housing, developed between 1990 and 2020, represents a unique architectural prototype shaped by rapid village development. Unlike traditional cultural heritage villages, these houses reflect the everyday needs and realities of ordinary rural communities. This study focuses on these non-traditional rural housing prototypes, exploring how they inherit features from traditional village architecture while evolving to meet the demands of modern socio-economic transitions. Through architectural mapping, field surveys, and villagers´ interviews, the research reveals the limitations of second-generation housing in terms of spatial adaptability and cultural continuity. Based on these findings, the study proposes future scenarios for new housing development, including multifunctional spatial layouts and the integration of ecological materials to enhance sustainability. By examining the transformation of everyday rural housing, this study provides a theoretical framework and practical insights for redefining non-traditional rural housing prototypes in rapidly changing rural contexts.
