Reproducibility of Spatial Dimensions and Impression Evaluations of Real Spaces in Virtual Reality
摘要
With advancements in Virtual Reality (VR) technology, it has become possible to provide spatial experiences that closely mimic real visual environments. In the field of architectural and spatial design, allowing users to experience VR spaces beforehand enables designers to more accurately incorporate user needs into the design. However, there has yet to be sufficient validation of whether VR virtual spaces can truly replicate actual physical spaces. Therefore, this study primarily examines the reproducibility of physical spaces in VR virtual spaces using Head-Mounted Displays (HMDs). By conducting comparative experiments between real and VR spaces, focusing on spatial qualities such as volume perception, openness, and comfort, this research aims to assess the feasibility of using HMD-based VR in spatial impression studies.
