Financial, Legal and Technical Glossary
摘要
Developing and financing large-scale Renewable Energy Infrastructure requires multidisciplinary teams working together. The same applies to investing in renewables or in clean tech. The teams include engineers, lawyers, financiers and investment managers, procurement people, tax people, insurance people, ESG managers, lobbyists etc. Having these teams with different professional and educational backgrounds but working on the same topics (e.g., a loan agreement negotiation or an investment) could represent challenges for managers who are not familiar with all the aspects surrounding renewable energy projects (including climate risks, carbon markets, energy trading etc.). Understanding technical, financial, and to certain extent legal concepts enables more efficient communication, more individual contribution, less silo effects and thus creates clear value to the meetings and to the projects in general. It enhances efficiency in the negotiations and in any multidisciplinary discussions, as well as self-confidence for the employee willing to learn about further concepts. The Financial, Legal and Technical Glossary provides commented definitions focused on the jargon of renewable energy and sustainable finance and investing.
