Our research addresses Georgian - a language with rich inflectional morphology and very few fixed sentence structures - called Morphologically Rich and Less-Configurational (MR&LC) languages. The present paper concerns issues related to developing crucial NLP tools for the MR&LC Georgian language: a finite state morphological transducer/POS-tagger and a Feature-Base Context-Free grammar parser for linking them via an unsupervised shallow syntactic chunker.

摘要

Our research addresses Georgian - a language with rich inflectional morphology and very few fixed sentence structures - called Morphologically Rich and Less-Configurational (MR&LC) languages. The present paper concerns issues related to developing crucial NLP tools for the MR&LC Georgian language: a finite state morphological transducer/POS-tagger and a Feature-Base Context-Free grammar parser for linking them via an unsupervised shallow syntactic chunker.
