Wrist ganglia are a common pathology for hand surgeons. These tumors can appear in a variety of clinical situations, from palmar to dorsal, and from very small to intracapsular. As well as being aesthetically unpleasing, these ganglia may present other clinical signs (pain, stiffness, etc.). With regard to the risk of recurrence, studies do not seem to show any superiority between “open” or arthroscopic techniques. However, it would appear that recovery is faster under arthroscopy. In this chapter, we present current views and technique of arthroscopic management of wrist ganglia.

摘要

Wrist ganglia are a common pathology for hand surgeons. These tumors can appear in a variety of clinical situations, from palmar to dorsal, and from very small to intracapsular. As well as being aesthetically unpleasing, these ganglia may present other clinical signs (pain, stiffness, etc.). With regard to the risk of recurrence, studies do not seem to show any superiority between “open” or arthroscopic techniques. However, it would appear that recovery is faster under arthroscopy. In this chapter, we present current views and technique of arthroscopic management of wrist ganglia.
