The first reports of elbow arthroscopy appeared in 1931 with Burman (Burman MS. J Bone Joint Surg Am, 13(4):669, 1931). However, this technique has struggled to gain popularity due to the small size of the elbow joint and its close proximity to numerous critically important neurovascular structures. Today, elbow arthroscopy is becoming increasingly common due to advancements in surgical techniques and the development of more refined instruments. Nevertheless, it is getting safer, although remaining a technique with limitation and risks.
