Knee arthroscopy is one of the most performed day-case procedures in orthopedics. The standard arthroscopic equipment comprises a camera system, light source, pump, and shaver system, supplemented by radiofrequency devices. There is a need for good visualization of the entire intra-articular knee. Proper diagnosis is essential for the successful treatment of knee pathologies. Besides the standard portal placement, detailed knowledge of several accessory portals is essential for successful arthroscopic treatment.
