Basic Principles for Knee Arthroscopy
摘要
Knee arthroscopy is one of the most performed day-case procedures in orthopedics. The standard arthroscopic equipment comprises a camera system, light source, pump, and shaver system, supplemented by radiofrequency devices. There is a need for good visualization of the entire intra-articular knee. Proper diagnosis is essential for the successful treatment of knee pathologies. Besides the standard portal placement, detailed knowledge of several accessory portals is essential for successful arthroscopic treatment. Please keep in mind “To start with, inaccurate portals lead to high risks of facing difficulties during surgery, complications, and unsatisfying results.” Virtual systems allow appropriate training to prepare surgeons prior they start to treat patient’s knee pathology with arthroscopic surgery.
