Thirty years ago, Walch noted that subscapularis (SSC) lesions often went unrecognized [1]. Despite advances in the understanding of these injuries, surgical techniques, and diagnostics, the literature still highlights the risk of overlooking this lesion today [2–4]. In this chapter, the authors will aim to summarize the characteristics of this tendon and the challenges that its treatment may present.
