Arthroscopic Subtalar Arthrodesis
摘要
Arthrodesis is the treatment of choice for symptomatic subtalar osteoarthritis when non-surgical treatment measures have failed. This operative procedure has traditionally been performed by using open technique. However, in most patients without major deformity, subtalar arthrodesis can be performed arthroscopically. We describe the technique of posterior arthroscopic subtalar arthrodesis. Arthroscopic subtalar arthrodesis yields clinical outcomes at least comparable to the open technique and a fusion rate of approximately 95%. The risk of wound complications is very low.
