Ankle osteoarthritis (OA) is a progressive degenerative joint disease characterized by cartilage deterioration, joint space narrowing, and functional impairment. Although non-surgical treatments are first-line therapies, surgical intervention often may become necessary in case of advanced degeneration and persistent symptoms. This chapter provides an overview of the fundamental surgical techniques utilized in the management of ankle joint osteoarthritis, including indications, surgical approach, and expected outcomes.
