Integrated Causal Map of MSMEs in the Creative Sector for Their Promotion in Mexico
摘要
Creative industries have received special attention in recent years due to their potential contribution to social and economic development in countries with emerging economies. However, these industries tend to be MSMEs with little chance of survival because demand for their products and services is difficult to predict. With a view to achieving target 8.3 of the Sustainable Development Goals, through documentary research with a systems perspective, the variables and causal relationships that influence the growth and development of MSMEs in this sector were identified and mapped. It is concluded that public policies and strategies to promote creative industries in Mexico should be long-term in scope. These policies should be aimed at generating favorable conditions for these industries in: education, research, trade and legal protection of intellectual property, cluster formation, exports, and the creation of regional brands.
