That humans are part of, an extension of, nature and our Earth is obvious to Indigenous peoples in the world. Nature and Indigenous peoples are an inseparable whole. The damage that contemporary industrial and extractive lifestyles cause to nature hurts us, Indigenous people, and is an important concern for us. Since ancient times, every aspect of Indigenous peoples’ lives and cultures has been grounded in unity with the natural environment. And we, Indigenous people, strive to preserve the land and the wisdom that we inherited from our ancestors and pass it on to future generations. The exploitation of our territories by industrial companies destroys our lands and causes enormous harm to the climate.

摘要
