Secure communication across open and potentially hostile networks demands strong cryptographic techniques. Key-agreement protocols permit two or more parties to generate a shared secret key over an unsecured channel. Still, without proper authentication, these protocols remain exposed to attacks such as man-in-the-middle and impersonation. In this paper, we present a novel lightweight Authentication protocol that ensures mutual authentication while remaining computationally efficient. The proposed protocol offers authentication mechanism using Multivariate Public Key Cryptography(MPKC). The computational efficiency of our scheme makes it suitable for resource-constrained environments like IoT and mobile networks.
