Ablation for Primary Breast Cancer
摘要
Breast ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that is used to treat benign and malignant breast tumors. Several ablative technologies have been used to treat breast tumors, including radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, and cryoablation. Of these, cryoablation has emerged as the most used thermal ablation technique. Thermal ablation of the breast offers several advantages over traditional surgical options, including faster recovery, less procedure-related pain, and improved cosmesis. With advancements in technology, breast ablation has the potential to serve as an alternative to surgery for managing malignant breast tumors. Ongoing research on long-term efficacy, safety, and the role of ablation in multidisciplinary management of breast tumors suggests a growing role of this minimally invasive approach to breast care.
