The paper proves the relevance of improving traffic management in connection with the growth of motorization and the insufficient development of the street and road network of cities. Traffic calming devices are considered as a tool for improving the safety and comfort of the urban environment. An analysis of the effectiveness of the introduction of various types of traffic calming devices at intersections and pedestrian crossings is carried out. It is proven that the combination of traffic lights and traffic calming improves safety, although it may cause additional delays. It is established that the most effective means at intersections are raised roads. The obtained relationships between traffic volume and performance indicators can be used for a preliminary assessment of the impact of traffic calming measures. The results provide a basis for further research on the integrated application of traffic calming measures in the urban environment.
