LED light source technology, which has been developing recently, is in the spotlight as a technology that can replace light sources that have been used in ray therapy. A light emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits light when a voltage is applied in the forward direction. Unlike high-power lasers that intensively treat local areas, LED light sources can effectively treat large areas of disease with appropriate light output. LED light sources emit light sources of specific wavelengths due to their narrow wavelength bandwidth, so harmful ultraviolet (UV) or unnecessary infrared (IR) are not emitted, resulting in fewer side effects and The U.S. FDA authorizes treatment using LED light sources in visible and near-infrared areas to be used in humans as it has the advantage of not damaging tissues or eyes due to its low energy. The physical characteristics of the LED light source are that it has a long lifespan, low power consumption, and is environmentally friendly, and has a small volume, making it easy to utilize space. We would like to examine the principle of phototherapy using LED light sources, which are emerging recently, and the use of LEDs in treatment, and explore the development direction of lifestyle using laser LEDs and high frequency in the future.
