Psychopharmacology Education During Psychiatry Residency Training
摘要
This chapter discusses how psychopharmacology is taught to psychiatric residents. We first try to visualize the end goal of this education and training, deliberating on what tomorrow’s psychiatrists will need to master in a rapidly changing medical environment. We then review the contemporary administrative framework within which modern psychopharmacology learning takes place. Finally, we try to merge these two perspectives into practical advice on how to teach today’s learners, discussing both content and method of teaching. Our goal is to provide practical ideas for both new and established residency programs to help with developing, innovating, or updating their psychopharmacology didactic and clinical education programs, while considering contemporary scholarship on these topics.
