Review of Corrosion Test of Biomedical Titanium Alloys
摘要
In this paper, the authors have attempted to present the corrosion tests currently used in practice for titanium alloys, such as the open-circuit potential (OCP) test, Potentiodynamic polarisation test, and Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Titanium alloys are typically used in medical practice as implant materials. Titanium is a biocompatible metal; however, its alloys can have varying effects depending on their chemical composition. Various elements and ions can dissolve out of the alloys, and their effects can be harmful to health.
