Critical Infrastructure Hazards During Emergency Response
摘要
In an Intervention, firefighters in critical infrastructure face highly complex hazards that require special preparation, appropriate protective equipment and precise coordination. In addition to structural, chemical, thermal, electrical, biological and explosion hazards, psychological and coordination challenges place a considerable burden on the responders. Proper preparation, the use of modern equipment and well-developed protocols are essential for safe and effective interventions. In order to ensure that the firefighter who intervenes in the event of a problem is able to react appropriately to the situation at hand, it is necessary to have the most effective training and the most rehearsed rescue protocols, designed to protect the lives of firefighters in all circumstances and to facilitate their action.
