In this final chapter, a systematic overview of self-help will be presented. The criteria used for this purpose have already been discussed in earlier chapters. Now, they will be outlined as the focus, given the importance of classifying the forms of unilateral protection. Just as legal remedies are categorized based on the nature of the solution, the interests protected, the timing of their application, and so on, the same applies here. This analysis is conducted within the context of Brazilian law. Although this may seem obvious, it is common for specific categories from foreign legal systems to be imported without proper context or demonstrated usefulness, as has been demonstrated. For this reason, the framework of self-help is presented within the national legal environment, whether to align it with other forms of interest protection or to facilitate its identification according to specific requirements control.
