AI Application Impact on Higher Education Institutions in Poland

The research covers three selected Polish universities. In this study, the authors test ChatGPT’s usefulness in universities’ teaching, research, organizational, and administrative processes. A survey was constructed, and a mixed PAPI and CAPI method was used to collect data. Thanks to the carried-out analyses, it was possible to check the frequency of using ChatGPT within the student community and specify the main applications in didactics and administrative procedures in Poland. The most important implication for researchers and university administrators is the possibility of using results to shape higher education policy regarding aspects of AI application in university work.
