Trust and Power as Drivers of Information Sharing and Visibility in Supply Chains

The aim of this study is to examine the influence of trust and power on both information sharing and visibility within supply chains. The research is based on quantitative data collected through a CATI survey conducted among 276 managers. To test the proposed relationships, a PLS-SEM model was developed and analyzed. Key findings indicate that trust has a positive effect on information sharing and visibility. It was also determined that power has a positive impact on information sharing. Conversely, no influence of power on visibility within supply chains was observed. The results revealed also a positive effect of information sharing and visibility on supply chain performance.
