Prosumer is a concept that has been in literature for many years. It defines a special case of a customer who is not just a passive recipient of the goods offered but becomes an active co-creator of business processes. The evolution of this concept and its significant role in the development of an organization is an exciting area of research, prompting us to undertake a study in this field. As a result, this article aimed to identify the prosumer’s role in organizational development. This objective was achieved by conducting a systematic literature review (SLR) based on the content of databases such as Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) from 2000 to 2024. As a result, we described the emerging trends in scientific research. In addition, we also highlighted the importance of using artificial intelligence (AI) - both in the context of improving the quality of products and services by, among other things, providing personalization, but also pointing out plans for further research that will emphasize using AI tools, including large language models (LLMs), to identify, classify, and cluster prosumers.

摘要
