This study investigates the role of educational podcasts in teacher training, focusing on educator’s experiences and preferences. Through semi-structured interviews with eleven faculty members from the field of social sciences, the research explores benefits, challenges and expectations related to podcast integration in professional development. The findings reveal that podcasts are valued for their accessibility, flexibility, and potential to complement traditional teaching formats. However, participants also noted barriers such as the scarcity of high-quality, targeted content and the lack of institutional support. These insights highlight the need to develop more structured and contextually relevant podcast-related resources for lecturers’ training.
