There are new smelterSmelter developments outside of ChinaChina that are not located on the coast and are facing SO2 scrubbingSO2 scrubbing requirements. These smeltersSmelter will have to consider other options, such as scrubbing with lime or limestone. This is new to many owners and engineers, and in this paper, we will have a closer look at the wet lime/limestone processWet lime/limestone process to provide an understanding of how this works and how it can be implemented in an aluminium smelterAluminium smelter.
