Research on the Application of Internet of Things Technology in Environmental Control and Automated Management of Pig Farms

This paper studies how the Internet of Things is applied in environmental control and automated management of a pig farm. And real-time monitoring and adjustment are realized under proper environmental parameters through the combination of sensor technology within a system. The temperature, humidity, ammonia, and carbon dioxide sensors collect the required data and transmit it to the central processing unit. The control algorithm applied can automatically adjust the environmental conditions. The health monitoring system monitors the sanitary status of the pigs in real time with the help of cameras and motion sensors. The experimental result shows that the system can conduct the collection and transmission of environmental data accurately. The system effectively adjusts the environmental parameters through the control algorithm. It is operation-friendly for users. Management efficiency and sanitary guarantee are satisfied as required. This study has validated the feasibility and effectiveness of Internet of Things technology in the environmental control and management of pig farms, thereby providing suggestive technological framework for modern pig farming.
